Springing into event season

Hi Friend,

With the first day of spring coming next month—and it feels so good to be able to type that—we are gearing up for events that will help position TSR and our members as leaders in road safety.

Starting next month with our Gulfton panel discussion at SXSW, billed as an essential destination for global professionals with sessions featuring professional development, exhibitions and more, we will be introducing TSR to even more sophisticated audiences whose own efforts rely on safe roads.

And in April, we will continue the road safety conversation at Concordia’s Inaugural Lexington Summit, which will create opportunities for dialogue, partnership, and progress on the most pressing issues facing the U.S. Our panel discussion on near miss will bring our work in Bellevue, WA front and center to an audience dedicated to collaborative work that improves communities.

Round out spring by saving the date for our 2nd annual Vision Zero Fleet Forum in May. We can’t wait to (virtually) see everyone again at it.

Join Us at the Inaugural Concordia Lexington Summit

We’re pleased to announce that we’re a Lead Programming Partner for Concordia’s inaugural Lexington Summit taking place April 7-8, 2022.

Join us for our 25-minute panel discussion, Strong Community, Safe Roads, which will bring together smart city experts for an illuminating discussion on how cities can utilize near miss studies and data collection to create safer roads. We'll also discuss how public-private partnerships can be constructed at the city and state level across the U.S. to create safer communities.

SXSW - Thank You for Your Votes

Last spring, many of you voted for our panel to be included at SXSW—and, as a reminder, it will be!

We cannot wait to share with the SXSW world the amazing work we did pairing the private and public sectors together to turn Hillcroft Avenue, once considered one of the most dangerous roads in Houston, into a safer and more equitable road.

If you'll be attending SXSW in person, in addition to catching our “Gulfton’s Journey to Complete Community and Life” panel discussion on March 18th from 11:30am – 12:30pm CT, be sure to attend our Road Safety Stakeholder and VIP Healthy Hour on March 17th.

Save the Date! Our Vision Zero Fleet Forum - May 2022

The Vision Zero Fleet Forum (VZFF) is our fleet-specific, Vision Zero-focused conference to maximize knowledge-sharing and the latest research trends with TSR, our partners, and those in the industry.

Held the same month as Road Safety Week, which highlights the benefits of low-speed urban streets as the heart of any community, 2021’s event attracted close to 500 global participants.

While we finalize the dates and sessions to be held in mid to late May 2022, keep an eye on the 2022 event page for more details. We can't wait to see you all again at our second annual viritual event.
